The logistics of getting bikes to the starting point at Gravesend and other points along the way... So if you were to drive to Greenwich and leave a car at the NCP car park on Romney Rd (A206), you could then take a train out to Gravesend, Dartford, Erith or Woolwich with your bike, ready to join Chris and I as we come through.
South Eastern Trains who operate the line between Greenwich and Gravesend, have provide this info:
2 bikes per carriage, unless you have a folding bike (up to 6 per carriage)

No cycle reservations needed, just turn up

No restrictions on time of travel as it is Saturday.

As a courtesy to the staff on the platform, if arriving as a group, please let them know what you are doing and reassure them that you know about the 2 bikes per carriage rule.

And of course, please consider other passengers...
It is a slow(ish) stopping service, here are the train journey times and prices:
Greenwich - Gravesend 47 minutes £7.10 (need to be there for 10am start to cycle 24 miles)
Greenwich - Dartford 33 minutes £5.20 (need to be there for 11am to cycle 16 miles)
Greenwich - Erith 24 minutes £3.60 (need to be there for 11.45am to cycle 10 miles)
Greenwich - Woolwich Arsenal 13 minutes £2.50 (need to be there for 12.30pm to cycle 4 miles)
Prices may be cheaper with an Oyster card
No extra charge for bikes.
Please check www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times. Please allow yourself time to get from the station to the cycle path nearby.
